After an early breakfast, we depart Arusha for a scenic drive toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Keep your camera ready—you may spot baboons and Cape buffalo along the crater rim before we even reach the plains.
As we descend into the Serengeti, marvel at the dramatic landscape shift to vast, golden savannahs that stretch as far as the eye can see. We will enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, offering your first chance to spot lions, elephants, and giraffes in their natural habitat before sunset.
Start your day with the sounds of the African bush and a thrilling morning game drive in the Serengeti. The early hours are the golden window for photography and predator tracking; this is when lions, cheetahs, and leopards are most active in the Seronera Valley.
After a morning of exploration and a hot lunch, we bid farewell to the Serengeti plains. We will enjoy wildlife spotting as we drive out of the park and ascend back into the cool, lush Ngorongoro Highlands. We will settle in the Karatu area for the night, positioning us perfectly for a quick start at Lake Manyara the next morning.
We begin our final day with a drive to the stunning Lake Manyara National Park. Known as a gem of the Great Rift Valley, this park offers a stark contrast to the Serengeti with its groundwater forests and alkaline lake.
The lake is often dusted pink with thousands of flamingos, while the forests are home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. Keep a sharp eye out for the park’s legendary tree-climbing lions resting in the acacia branches. After a picnic lunch surrounded by nature, we ascend the escarpment and drive back to Arusha.
