This 4-day fly in safari from Zanzibar is designed for travelers who want to combine the relaxation of Zanzibar’s beaches with an unforgettable wildlife adventure—without long and tiring road journeys. With scenic domestic flights and carefully planned game drives, this safari offers a smooth, comfortable transition from the Indian Ocean to Tanzania’s most iconic national parks.
In just four days, you will experience elephant-filled landscapes, the endless plains of Serengeti, and the wildlife-rich Ngorongoro Crater—an ideal extension to your Zanzibar holiday.
After an early breakfast at your Zanzibar hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for a scenic domestic flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, your private safari guide will be waiting to welcome you and begin your journey into the wild.
We drive directly to Tarangire National Park, a land defined by towering baobab trees and large herds of elephants. The Tarangire River attracts a wide range of wildlife, making this park one of the most rewarding for game viewing. Enjoy an afternoon game drive as animals gather near the riverbanks and the African sun begins to soften.
Later in the day, we leave the park and head toward the cool highlands for overnight rest.
Highlights: Seamless flight from Zanzibar, elephants, baobab landscapes
Overnight: Lodge in the Ngorongoro/Karatu area
After breakfast, we set off toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. Our journey takes us through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering stunning views of rolling hills, Maasai villages, and the distant crater rim.
As we descend into Serengeti, the scenery transforms dramatically. Vast open plains stretch endlessly before us, dotted with wildlife. We enjoy a game drive en route through the central part of the park, where predators and prey coexist in one of the richest ecosystems on Earth.
Highlights: Scenic drive through Ngorongoro highlands, first Serengeti game viewing
Overnight: Central Serengeti Lodge/Camp
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring Serengeti National Park. With a full day available, we focus on the central regions, particularly areas known for year-round wildlife activity.
The Serengeti is famous for its large populations of lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as massive herds of wildebeest and zebras. Your guide will adjust the day’s route based on animal movements, ensuring the best possible sightings while allowing time to truly absorb the atmosphere of the African wilderness.
As the sun sets, the savannah glows in golden light, marking another unforgettable safari day.
Highlights: Big cats, Seronera Valley, classic Serengeti scenery
Overnight: Central Serengeti Lodge/Camp
After an early breakfast, we depart Serengeti and travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder often described as Africa’s Eden.
The crater floor hosts an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and, with luck, the rare black rhinoceros. After a rewarding game drive and picnic lunch, we ascend the crater rim and transfer to the airstrip or airport for your return flight to Zanzibar.
By evening, you are back on the island, carrying unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s wild heart.
